Summary:
This role will primarily support the tax function, while also providing administrative assistance to other departments as needed. What you'll be contributing:
- Promote and follow all plant safety guidelines.
- Assist in the preparation and filing of sales and use tax returns
- Maintain accurate records of tax filings and payments
- Assist in quarterly sales tax rate updates
- Sales tax exemption certificates management
- Property tax bill processing and management
- Communication & coordination with property tax consultants
- Provide support to the Finance department, including data entry and document management
- Wire Transfer & Cash Receipt processing
- Shipment reporting for business partners
- Ability to learn and provide backup in all areas of accounting
- Handle general office duties
- Perform special projects as needed
- Additional duties as assigned by supervisor.
To succeed in this position, you will need:
- Ability to read, write, and understand warning labels, instructions, signs, etc.
- Minimum High School Diploma or GED
- Associate's Degree in accounting or related field preferred
- Minimum 2 years of experience in administrative or accounting, or related position.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
