Job Summary :
We are seeking a skilled, and experienced Manager of Construction for capital improvement projects. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in construction management, with expertise in managing budgets, schedules, and contractors to deliver high-quality results. This role requires a strong understanding of construction processes, project management principles, and the ability to collaborate effectively with stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities :
Project Management :
Plan, coordinate, and oversee all phases of capital improvement projects.
Ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
Develop and maintain detailed project schedules, budgets, and progress reports.
Supervise and manage contractors, and subcontractors.
Provide guidance and support to ensure adherence to project goals and company standards.
Work closely with property owners, tenants, and internal departments to define project requirements and expectations.
Facilitate regular meetings and communication with stakeholders to address project updates and resolve issues.
Negotiate contracts, bids, and change orders to achieve cost-effective solutions.
Ensure all projects comply with local building codes, safety regulations, and environmental standards.
Conduct regular site inspections to monitor progress and quality of work.
Address construction issues promptly to minimize delays and risks.
Qualifications :
Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Architecture, or a related field.
7 years of experience in construction management.
Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and building codes.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
Experience working with commercial properties is required.
Work Environment :
Office-based with frequent visits to construction sites.
Must be able to travel to various project locations as needed.
