Job Summary
Ashbrook Independent School is seeking enthusiastic, caring, and creative Substitute Teachers.
Major Duties and Responsibilities
Substitute Teachers will:
- Deliver instruction to students as designed by the classroom teacher’s lesson plans. Develop or create lessons based on curriculum materials when needed.
- Maintain a positive and caring classroom environment favorable to learning; Supervise and ensure the safety and health of children in the classroom.
- Collaborate with staff throughout the school.
- Communicate proactively and positively with parents as needed.
- Perform other related duties as required.
Qualifications:
- Knowledge and experience with teaching elementary and/or middle school students.
- Strong written and oral communication skills.
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in teacher education
- PREFERRED: Professional teacher licensure in good standing and that is transferable to the State of Oregon.
Compensation:
Hourly wage rate of $19.90 per hour
