What are the responsibilities and job description for the ELA Report Card Committee Member position at Ashburnham-Westminster Regional Schools?
Purpose Statement:
The position of ELA Report Card Committee member has been established for the purposes of assisting the district in successfully revising the ELA portion of our K-5 report card.
We will work to evaluate and update the standards on our report card, create parent-friendly language for each area, identify where students are being assessed in each area and if time allows we will identify benchmarks for each criteria.
This work will be structured around four meetings during the spring: March 31, April 9, April 14 and April 28 from 3:30-5:30. The meetings will be largely devoted to work time in accomplishing each of the tasks above. Ideally, one teacher per grade level per town would be on the committee. In between each meeting, ELA Report Card Committee members would be expected to report out to their grade level colleagues.
The ELA Report Card Committee will work closely with the committee’s facilitators, the Elementary Curriculum Coach and Director of Curriculum and Instruction.
We are looking for one ELA Report Card Committee member per grade level, per school.
