DESCRIPTION:
Provides critical support and direction for designated products in a manner that will maximize product line sales and profit growth. Recommends and substantiates needed product line additions of technically sound, competitive and marketable products. Effectively manage cost and performance improvements needed for existing products, thereby ensuring the achievement of designated product line sales and profit targets.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Works to maximize sales and contribution of existing products
- Review product line for product eliminations and product additions
- Assess product mix for competitiveness.
- Understand manufacturing process and work with design engineering and manufacturing to assure best cost position.
- Develop product/sales marketing plan for the product line each year and provides input into product forecast monthly (or as often as required).
- Communicate key application & market knowledge to global sales team on regular basis.
- Provide product training for global sales team, inside sales, and channel partners.
- Supports Global Sales team to win large sales opportunities through organization/prioritization/communication of necessary responses, pricing, and competitive knowledge.
- Review new CES (Custom Engineered Solutions) opportunities from global sales team with engineering for viability and organize responses to customers.
- Maintains knowledge of competitor activity (New Products, Key Features, Approvals, Pricing, and Market Share). Pro-actively communicates this information with Global Sales and Marketing Teams.

- Review and propose pricing policies changes where appropriate.
- Communicates to Ashcroft Executive Mgt team on critical issues related to product line including operational, quality, or other concerns.
REQUIREMENTS:
- BS Degree in Marketing, Engineering or Physical Sciences or equivalent professional experience.
- 5 years of experience in product marketing role for industrial products, with an additional one to two years outside sales experience desired
- Strong knowledge of technical and commercial aspects of designated product line, major markets, key applications, and competition.
- Strong understanding of designated product line cost structure.
- Very good verbal & written communication skills;
- Very good interpersonal skills in communication and relationship building with customers, channel partners, and internal co-workers.
- Ability to organize and lead projects involving multiple disciplines;
- Ability to manage multiple tasks, set priorities and maintain high level of organization;
- Ability to travel domestically and internationally 10 to 20% of the time.
