Job Overview
We are seeking a motivated Entry-Level Construction Materials Testing (CMT) Technician to join our team. This role involves performing field and laboratory tests on soil, concrete, asphalt, and other construction materials to ensure compliance with project specifications and industry standards. No prior experience is required—we provide on-the-job training and support for industry certifications.
Responsibilities
- Perform inspections at construction sites to ensure compliance with project specifications and standards.
- Collect and analyze data related to material properties and performance.
- Collaborate with project managers and engineers to provide insights on material selection and usage.
- Document findings and prepare detailed reports on material quality inspections.
- Assist in concrete forming processes and ensure proper techniques are followed.
- Monitor the quality control processes throughout the construction phases.
- Maintain accurate records of tests performed, results obtained, and any discrepancies noted.
Qualifications
- Ability to work both independently and within a team environment.
- General knowledge of construction practices is a plus.
- High school diploma or equivalent (Associate’s or Bachelor’s in a related field is a plus).
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record (company vehicle may be provided).
- Ability to lift 50 lbs and work in outdoor construction environments.
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
