The Training and Safety Manager is responsible for creating, implementing, managing, and enhancing consistent and standardized installation best practices and safety programs that are aligned with the company’s initiatives and high-quality expectations.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Ensures customers are treated with the utmost respect and given the highest quality workmanship; ensures customer satisfaction is maximized by enforcing quality and customer service standards
• Manages, coordinates, and implements all new hire and existing team operations and safety training, ensures successful transition to their role within the production team; works closely with the Operations Manager and Customer Care team on identifying training needs.
• Identifies knowledge and skill gaps within teams and, in collaboration with operations management, designs comprehensive and engaging programs to level up capacity and abilities.
• Develops safety programs to minimize financial and operational impact resulting from accidental losses and claims against the company.
• Works with the Operations Manager and Installation Manager in investigating worker’s compensation injuries to ensure complete documentation and adherence to safety procedures; immediately flags questionable lost time claims.
• Recommends new approaches, policies, and procedures in pursuit of continual efficiency and quality improvements.
• Assists in the development of production department checklists, workflow, and written procedures.
• Maintains professional and technical knowledge, continually seeks opportunities to enhance skills.
• Creates and supports a safe work environment on the job site to protect own health and the interest of the company at all times.
• Other duties as assigned.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:

• Knowledge of product terminology including all parts, pieces, and materials.
• Knowledge of current best practices for product installation.
• Skill in providing exceptional customer service.
• Ability to give direction and obtain effective cooperation.
• Ability to work independently on assigned projects.
• Ability to organize work and establish priorities.
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with install crews, other employees, supervisors, and customers.
• Ability to work the assigned hours of the position which may include significant overtime.
• Ability to multi-task and maintain deadlines.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• 5 years of experience in the home improvement industry or other closely related field.
• Knowledge of high-quality installation best practices.
• Ability to communicate and breakdown complex technical procedures in a learning format.
• Knowledge of applicable building codes and construction techniques.

LICENSES, CERTIFICATION, AND OTHER REQUIREMENTS:

• Must possess and maintain a valid Driver’s License with acceptable driving record

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

• Ability to work comfortably on a ladder extending to heights reaching 30’ or structure roof
• Must be able to work outside year-round in all weather conditions
• Physical Abilities (up to 100% of day) – Exerting up to 50-100 pounds regularly, Extra help for loads over 100lbs, Climbing, Repetitive Motions, Balancing, Stooping, Kneeling, Crouching, Crawling, Reaching, Standing, Walking, Pushing, Pulling, Lifting, Fingering, Grasping, Feeling, Walk and stand on uneven surfaces without pain, Repetitious cutting without pain, Ascend and descend ladders without pain, No fear of heights
