Role Description
This is a full time role for a Sales Lead at Ashes & Diamonds Winery. The Sales Lead will be responsible for day-to-day sales activities including customer service, sales, and training. They will also be responsible for sales management and ensuring exceptional customer experiences.

- Sales. As the Sales Lead, you are viewed as being one of the best on our teams in sales and customer retention.
- Greet all visitors to A&D, pour wines for tasting, discuss wine and respond to customer questions as appropriate. Ensure that every visitor thoroughly enjoys their wine tasting experience and leaves highly impressed with our wines while effectively promoting and selling wine and wine club memberships. Handle purchasing transactions, including accounting for daily sales and processing returns and discounts.
- Can accurately describe wines, winemaking techniques, winery history, appellations and unique aspects of wines. Take initiative for self-development in the area of understanding our wines, our brand, general hospitality and effective sales techniques. This includes, but is not limited to, participating in company-sponsored wine education and development opportunities.
- Participate in weekly team lead meetings with the Director of Hospitality and the Tasting Room Manager, bringing ideas and perspectives to the meetings.
- Host staff lineups. Review visiting VIP’s with staff. Highlight the point of interest topics from either the Tasting Room Manager or Director of Hospitality.
- Wine education for the staff. Focus on producers, wine regions and blind tasting to keep staff engaged in the tasting room.
- Focus on guest retention for club members. Go above and beyond in communication with our members.
- Focus on VIP’s and take the lead on curating special experiences for our best clients.
