Job Description Summary
This position is a case manager of all activities listed under the WIOA contract. Must maintain required caseload, complete documentation in a timely manner, and document accurate communication logs and progress notes. This position is responsible for a case load of applications which include enrolling, tracking, supportive services, and collecting I9, worksite, training plan, agreement, evaluation, and timesheets along with following up for one year post completion as per mandate. Provides information and referral assistance regarding available support from appropriate social service agencies and/or community programs. Identifies participant strengths and barriers to stability and assist participants to reducing barriers and linking to resources and services. Serves as a liaison to the Land of Sky staff in the absence of the Lead Case Manager and Coordinator. This position coordinates best career paths in either Curriculum or Con Education programs.
Duties
- Enrolls students who meet WIOA qualifications and coordinates the best career path.
- Connects students with community resources.
- Maintains files which comply with WIOA guidelines for all enrolled students.
- Contributes to the College Vision, Mission, Values, and RISE statement.
- Supports workforce diversity in all its aspects.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Minimum Requirements (Applicant must meet all of the minimum requirements)
- Must have a minimum of an Associate’s degree;
- Must have at least three years of full-time or equivalent experience working in a case management role;
- Must have experience with Microsoft Office, database applications and data tracking systems;
- Must have experience working with diverse and low-income population.
Preferred Qualifications
- One year of full-time or equivalent experience working in workforce development setting.
- One year of full-time or equivalent community college student services experience.
- Experience with community service outreach.
- Proficiency in a foreign language such as Spanish, an East Slavic language, and/or American Sign Language.
