Job Description Summary
Collaborates closely with industrial clients and A-B Tech personnel to provide technical training in various areas, including machining operations, coatings, equipment operations, automation, systems integration, robotics, quality control, shop math, precision measurement, print reading, safety, machine controls, Lean principles, and equipment maintenance. Develops and customizes curriculum, teaching materials, activities, and assessments to meet the specific needs of industrial clients while integrating technology into the instruction. Additionally, assists with the procurement, setup, utilization, and maintenance of training equipment.
Duties
1. Creates and adapts curriculum, teaching materials, activities, and assessments to meet industrial client needs, while incorporating technology into instruction.
2. Delivers structured pre-hire assessment and training, and post-hire specific technical training related to lean manufacturing, machining operations, coating, equipment operations, automation and systems integration, quality, shop math, precision measurement, blueprint and GD&T, safety, machine controls, equipment maintenance, PLC or Robotics.

3. Ensures the accuracy of training documents and evaluations in accordance with NC Edge and NCCC standards.
4. Acts as a subject matter expert and is fully committed to pursuing additional training opportunities that align with organizational needs.
5. Keeps up to date with industry trends, new technologies, and best practices.
6. Assists with training equipment procurement, setup, utilization, and maintenance.
7. Assists with training scheduling according to client needs and schedules.
8. Collaborates with coordinators, adjuncts, and contract trainers.
9. Demonstrates flexibility in providing instruction in all programs.
10. Works with A-B Tech, industry clients, and other workforce professionals to develop and administer apprenticeship programming.
11. Assists with administrative components associated with industry client Customized Training Program projects as directed.
12. Keeps accurate inventory and submits materials and supplies requests. Exercises stewardship of college resources and facilities.
13. Maintains the equipment to ensure it meets safety standards and readiness for instructions and a secure campus environment.
14. Contributes to the College Vision, Mission, Values, and R.I.S.E. statement.

Minimum Requirements (Applicant must meet all of the minimum requirements)
1. Must have a minimum of a high school diploma or its equivalent;
2. Work experience in either or a combination of industrial/manufacturing operations, technical or construction operations, technical industrial training, or equipment maintenance in an industrial business setting, or training in a higher education environment;

3. Programming, training, or operations work experience in computer-controlled machine operation or other equipment in an industrial environment;
4. Work experience or certifications that demonstrate proficiency in all safety categories and OSHA regulations;

5. Work experience using Computer Software including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook), Adobe, as well as instructional technologies.
