Job Description Summary
Contributes to the success of multilingual learners in the Department of Transitional Studies by supporting students, staff and faculty, and ensuring timely and accurate program record keeping.
Duties
- Maintains and updates student records in a timely manner and meets all associated deadlines.
- Conducts student intake, orientation, registration and assessments according to established guidelines and in collaboration with Greeters, Administrative Assistant, and departmental Coordinators and faculty.
- Monitors attendance data (i.e. Web Attendance software) & resolves errors quickly.
- Serves as a point of contact in the event of Coordinators', Administrative Assistant's, or Greeters' absence.
- Supports marketing, recruiting and outreach efforts for multilingual learners regarding all departmental offerings. Responds to all inquiries.
- Supports & monitors students transitioning to other programs within the department and / or pathways to higher education or training.
- Instructs program classes if determined by program Coordinators, not to exceed six (6) contact hours per week.
- Contributes to the College Vision, Mission, Values, and RISE statement.
- Supports workforce diversity in all its aspects.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
