Upper Elementary Teacher

Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Elementary Teacher to join our educational team. The ideal candidate will have a strong commitment to fostering a positive learning environment that aligns with our Catholic faith and supporting students in their academic journey. This role involves developing lesson plans, implementing effective teaching strategies, and assessing student progress. The Teacher will work closely with students, parents, and staff to ensure that each child receives the support they need to succeed.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that align with curriculum standards.
• Assess and evaluate student performance through standardized testing and other assessment tools.
• Manage classroom behavior effectively to create a conducive learning environment.
• Communicate regularly with parents regarding student progress and any concerns.
• Collaborate with support staff to help students with diverse learning needs.
• Facilitate literacy education and math instruction tailored to individual student abilities.
• Maintain accurate records of student attendance, grades, and other relevant documentation.
• Participate in ongoing professional development opportunities to enhance teaching skills.
• Integrate the teachings of the Catholic Church into curriculum.

Skills

• Strong background in literacy education and special education methodologies.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, for effective interaction with students, parents, and colleagues.
• Proficient in classroom management techniques to maintain order and promote a positive learning atmosphere.
• Experience in lesson planning that caters to various learning styles and abilities.
• Experience working with children in an educational setting is highly desirable.
• Knowledge of math concepts and the ability to teach them effectively.
• Understanding of education administration practices is a plus.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $38,000.00 - $55,000.00 per year
