Respiratory Therapist - PRN Job Description
Deliver high-quality patient-centered respiratory care in a fast-paced hospital environment, utilizing diagnostic tests and therapeutic procedures to monitor patients receiving invasive and noninvasive mechanical ventilation.
About the Job
As a Respiratory Therapist, you will be responsible for coordinating and delivering respiratory care to patients, maintaining a safe and efficient work environment, and adhering to all policies and procedures relative to safety and infection control.
Responsibilities
- Maintain an orderly and efficient flow of patients
- Assist in the diagnosis, treatment, and management of patients
- Screen patients for appropriate information
- Instruct patients and family regarding medications and treatment instructions
- Maintain current knowledge to assure a safe working environment
- Perform other duties as required
Requirements
- Two to four years of experience in the field is required
- CPR certification is preferred
- Certification and registration as required by state regulations
