Maintenance Technician – Job Description
Department: Operations
Reports To: Operations Manager or Facilities Supervisor
Status: Full-Time
Pay Rate: $18 per hour
Position Summary
The Maintenance Technician is responsible for ensuring a safe, functional, and well-maintained facility by performing general repairs, preventive maintenance, and property upkeep. This position plays a critical role in supporting all departments by responding to maintenance requests, addressing safety concerns, and maintaining the physical environment to meet regulatory and organizational standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on plumbing, electrical systems, HVAC units, facility equipment, and structural components.
- Conduct regular inspections to identify safety hazards, facility damage, or cleanliness issues; take timely corrective action.
- Complete maintenance work orders efficiently and communicate status updates to the Operations Manager.
- Assemble furniture, move heavy items, and perform minor construction, painting, or repair projects as needed.
- Maintain outdoor areas, including light landscaping, trash removal, and seasonal exterior maintenance.
- Organize and maintain tools, equipment, and supply storage areas.
- Respond to urgent maintenance issues or facility emergencies, including during evenings or weekends as required.
- Follow all OSHA, fire safety, and environmental health regulations and best practices.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Basic knowledge of electrical, plumbing, carpentry, and power tools.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, climb ladders, and perform physically demanding tasks.
- Reliable transportation and a valid driver’s license required.
- Must have transportation and active drivers license

- Minimum of 2 years of experience in general maintenance, handyman work, or a skilled trade (preferred).
