Work Setting/Environmental Factors
Faculty members frequently works in a classroom setting where the noise level is usually moderate. Depending on the assigned/selected afternoon activities, this position may require work in a variety of indoor settings as well as outdoors and travel may be required on a seasonal basis.

Primary Responsibilities And Duties
- Teach four sections of your discipline or equivalent during our seven-period rotation
- Participate in two of the three seasons of our afternoon activities program (current needs include basketball, baseball, and tennis)
- Serve as an advisor for students
- Serve as a member of a residential duty team, including the possibility of living in one of our residential halls
- Serve as an integral part of our campus community, enthusiastically helping where needed
- Stay abreast of changing pedagogies and technologies
- Participate in professional and personal growth opportunities
- B.A. in history or related field; or experience working in a field related to history and/or education.
- M.A. in history or related field preferred
- Experience working with high school-age individuals/groups.
- Strong writing and communications skills.
- Self-motivated with attention to both tasks and people.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and persevere.
- Ability to engage learners in the subject being taught, offer sound advice, and serve as a role model.
- Demonstrate empathy, respect, and trustworthiness.
- Work effectively with a wide range of individuals in a diverse community.
