Responsibilities
- Assist the dentist during various procedures.
- Maintain accurate medical documentation and patient records in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
- Perform dental imaging and assist with the use of medical imaging equipment, including 3D scanners.
- Utilize Eaglesoft software for patient management and scheduling.
- Implement aseptic techniques to ensure a sterile environment during procedures.
- Provide patient education on oral hygiene and post-operative care.
- Support pediatric patients by creating a welcoming atmosphere and addressing their unique needs.
- Manage inventory of dental supplies and ensure the operatory is well-stocked and organized.
Requirements
- Knowledge of anatomy relevant to dental health.
- X-ray certification required.
- Understanding of HIPAA regulations to protect patient confidentiality.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with patients and team members.
- Experience is preferred but not required.
