As a Community Manager at Ashford Communities, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing the day-to-day operations and enhancing the living experience for our residents. Your primary goal will be to create a vibrant and inclusive community where residents feel valued, engaged, and proud to call Ashford Communities home. You will also lead, engage, and motivate the property team you oversee to do the same, making you an integral part of our operations.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Lead and manage a team of leasing professionals and maintenance staff, ensuring they provide exceptional customer service and maintain the highest property maintenance standards.
- Develop and implement innovative marketing strategies to attract and retain residents, including conducting market research and competitor analysis.
- Oversee the leasing process, from initial inquiries to lease signings, ensuring a seamless and positive experience for prospective residents.
- Foster relationships with current and prospective residents, addressing their needs, concerns, and inquiries promptly and professionally.
- Plan and organize community events and activities to create a sense of belonging and promote resident engagement.
- Collaborate with the property management team to develop and manage budgets, financial reporting, positive net operating income (NOI) and adherence to company policies and procedures.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with residents, team members, and vendors.
- Strong leadership and organizational skills, with the ability to effectively manage a team and multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Proven experience in sales and leasing, able to drive occupancy and meet leasing targets.
- Proficiency in using property management software and other relevant tools.
- Attention to detail and the ability to analyze market trends and competitor activities.
- Minimum of 3 years of previous experience as a Community Manager or in a similar role, preferably in the real estate industry.
- Familiarity with property management software and CRM systems.
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office products, including Excel, Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, etc.
- Knowledge of Fair Housing laws and regulations.
- Bilingual in both English & Spanish – plus!
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Customer-first mindset, always striving to provide an exceptional experience for residents.
- Proactive and resourceful, with the ability to think strategically and find creative solutions.
- Goal-oriented and driven to meet and exceed leasing targets.
- Ability to work independently as well as collaborate effectively with a team.
