The primary purpose of your job position is to perform the day-to-day activities of the Housekeeping Department in accordance with current federal, state, and local standards, guidelines and regulations governing our facility, and as may be directed by the Director of Environmental Services, and the Housekeeping/Laundry Supervisor, to assure that our facility is maintained in a clean, safe, and comfortable manner.
Job Functions
- Clean, dust, vacuum, mop, sweep, etc. on your assigned hall and throughout the facility as assigned.
- Works in all areas of the facility.
- Moves constantly during working hours.
- Is involved with residents, personnel, visitors, government agencies/personnel, etc., under all conditions and circumstances.
- Is subject to hostile and emotionally upset residents, family members, personnel, and visitors.
- Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language.
- Communicates with housekeeping personnel and other department personnel.
- Works beyond normal working hours and on weekends and holidays when necessary, as well as in other positions as needed.
- May be required to work on shifts other than the one for which hired.
- Attends and participates in continuing educational programs.
