Customer Service Cashier

Job Overview
We are seeking a friendly and efficient Cashier to join our retail team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service while accurately processing transactions. This role requires a keen attention to detail and the ability to handle cash register operations, ensuring a smooth checkout experience for our customers.

Responsibilities

• Operate the cash register and handle all transactions accurately, including cash, credit, and debit payments.
• Provide outstanding customer service by greeting customers warmly and addressing their inquiries or concerns.
• Assist in supervising sales associates to ensure adherence to company policies and procedures.
• Promote products through effective upselling techniques and product demonstrations.
• Maintain a clean and organized checkout area, ensuring all supplies are stocked and readily available.
• Perform basic math calculations for transactions and provide change as necessary.
• Collaborate with team members to enhance the overall shopping experience for customers.
• Handle returns and exchanges in accordance with company policies.

Experience

• Previous experience in retail sales or customer service is preferred but not required.
• Familiarity with cash register operations and Point of Sale (POS) systems is advantageous.
• Strong basic math skills to ensure accurate transaction processing.
• Excellent communication skills with a focus on customer satisfaction.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
• Experience in product demos and upselling techniques is a plus.
