What are the responsibilities and job description for the Temporary Education Coordinator position at Ashland Food Co–op?
SCHEDULE: 32-40 hours/week, temporary position anticipated to end January 2026
COMPENSATION: Minimum starting wage of $19.25/hour

Job Summary: To develop and administer programs to educate owners, shoppers and the community about nutrition, food preparation, wellness, sustainability, the cooperative business model and/or other relevant topics.
Qualifications:
- Broad knowledge of the Natural & Organic Food industry.
- Proven culinary and nutritional knowledge and expertise.
- Proven communication and public speaking skills.
- Writing and editorial experience.
- Proven organizational and multitasking skills.
- Proficiency using Google Suite.
General Responsibilities:
- Ensure teachers and assistants are oriented and provided with teacher packets.
- Set up classroom for teach and Co-op/Community events, coordinate with Tech Support.
- Coordinate all volunteers for classes, garden work and Co-op events.
- Prepare check request for teacher payments.
- Evaluate classes and instructors as needed.
- Clean, stock and ensure the classroom's equipment is well-maintained.
- Assistant Marketing and Education Manager with events and activities as assigned.
