Position Title: Director of Writing and Communication Center
Job Summary:
The Director of the Writing and Communication Center (WCC) oversees WCC services and programs, addressing the needs of students across Ashland University. Personalized attention through the WCC contributes to student retention.
Key Responsibilities:
- C-coordinate academic support for writing and speaking across the curriculum in all modalities, training part-time staff on best practices and providing mentorship.
- Support and collaborate in the development and implementation of the Embedded Coach Program and Accent on Communicating initiative.
- This twelve-month role may require occasional weekend and evening hours, as well as travel between campuses.
Requirements:
- A graduate degree in English, Composition, Rhetoric, or related field.
- Two years of experience at Coordinator or Director level in an academic writing center.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Supervising writing consultants.
