What are the responsibilities and job description for the Full-Time Swing Shift - Student Dining position at Ashland University?
Job Description
- While relieving employees on days off, will perform duties that include producing quality products and presenting them in an attractive manner using proper techniques.
- Heat, portion and serve food to students and staff according to established procedures.
- Completion of production records and maintain sanitation standards for all stages of food preparation.
- Responsible for prep as needed, and ensuring all portions of unused product are properly labeled, stored and recorded.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Performs the duties in an efficient and positive manner, meeting the objectives of Ashland University and the needs of the student customer
- Follows state health department guidelines and dress codes
- Detail oriented, reliable, as well as a self-starter and able to work with little or no supervision in a busy environment
Preferred Qualifications
- Serv safe certification preferred but not required
Physical Demands
- Bending, lifting, standing for long periods of time
- Tolerance to extreme heat when working in and around a kitchen environment
