Architectural Designer

We are seeking an Architectural Designer to join our dedicated group of professionals in Butler, PA. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in design and a passion for transforming concepts into visually compelling and functional designs. This role requires proficiency in various design software, as well as the ability to collaborate effectively with clients and team members to deliver innovative solutions.
Requirements:
- Proficient with AutoCAD and Revit
- Microsoft Office Suite
- Adobe Suite
- SketchUp
- Bachelor’s degree preferred
· Experience in design and detailing of architectural and or structural elements for
buildings and other structures.
· Ability to take conceptual ideas & drawings and develop into construction drawings.
· Familiarity and understanding of building codes.
· Willingness to make the extra effort to meet deadlines.
· Team player with ability to work quickly and efficiently.
· Organizational skills.
Education/Experience:
- Bachelor of Science degree in Architecture, and minimum 2 years of experience with knowledge in architectural design, obtainable usually through a combination of experience and continuing education; or
- Master of Architecture degree, minimum 2 years of experience with advanced technical knowledge in architectural design, obtainable usually through a combination of experience and continuing education; or
- Equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
Responsibilities:
· Work with Project Manager to develop project designs.
· Make site visits and create existing condition plans.
· Preparation of construction documents.
· Maintaining a sense of deadline and critical path in all work by conforming to a schedule.
· Team player with ability to work quickly and efficiently.
- Receive project requests and draft designs.
- Utilize necessary physical and digital tools to create initial drafts.
- Work collaboratively with team members and stakeholders to ensure accuracy of early design work.
- Finalize drafting projects using both 2D and 3D sketching.
- Research and incorporate artistic elements into designs as needed.
- Ensure design specifications align to safety standards and governmental regulations.
- Liaise with various professionals and departments to coordinate project details.
