POSITION SUMMARY
The Licensed Practical Nurse participates in the planning, implementation, and evaluation of nursing care, within departmental objectives, standards, and policies. Provide safe medication and emergency and withdrawal management. Responsible for data collection, record keeping, able to effectively communicate patient concerns and work collaboratively with RN’s, medical and support personnel to provide care treatment and services to patient with substance use disorder. In that role, in addition to performing your regular job duties, you also serve as a role model and authority figure to our patients.
DESIRED KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES:
- Current Licensed as an LPN by the MD State Board of Nursing or compact state required
- Active BLS certification required
- One year of experience in acute care nursing required. Addiction or Psychiatric Nurse experience desirable.
- Ability to read medical documents, such as doctor's orders, psychological evaluations, and dietitian assessments and write routine reports. Communicate effectively with patients and staf
