Data Center Technician 2nd shift (Elk Grove, IL)

Job Title: Data Center Technician 2nd Shift
Work Location: Elk Grove Village, IL
Duration: Long Term Contract with option to extend
Education/Experience Required: Two years' experience working in a data center

Job Description & Responsibilities :
Performing rack and stack on servers and network assets in a data center
• The Tech will need to install and test fiber and copper cabling
• They will also need to know how to terminate copper
• They will need to reboot a device and have general familiarity with how severs work
• Experience using a Fluke cable tester would be highly preferred
• Work on ladders 7-8 feet off the floor
• Install servers that can weight up to 40-50 lbs. (will use a server lift and always working in teams)
• They are occasionally asked to be on trouble shooting calls or speak to the client
• Very fast pace and busy data center environment

Skills & Qualifications :

• Teachability and positive attitude is a HIGHLY valued skill
• Able to work as a team
• Adapt
• Attention to Detail
• Outside accreditations
• Customer service experience
• Experience using a Fluke cable tester would be highly preferred
• Looking for some tenure with experience
• Microsoft Office Suite (especially excel and teams)
• H.S Diploma
