Job Description :
- This IST Supply Chain Systems Business Analyst position will entail the use of strong analytical skills to assist our internal customers in continuous improvement and innovation projects to solve system and technology issues, providing solutions for the ever-increasing demand to build and manage data automations, reporting and data visualizations across core systems.
- This individual will act as a liaison between the IST department and various business teams within the organization, working to elicit and define solution requirements and turn them into technical specifications.
- The position requires building and maintaining relationships with business stakeholders; understanding of business processes; ability to work with cross-functional teams; and strong analytical abilities and communication skills.
- Working with business partners and IST SCS peers to identify opportunities to leverage our systems in improved automation, reporting, data visualization and business processes.
- Documenting business processes by assessing the current business model and its integration with technology. Analyzing and evaluating the current business processes to identify areas of improvement.
- Creating requirements documentation, visual models, business process models, functional requirements specifications, data models, use cases, process flows, etc.
- Collaborating with business teams and IST SCS peers to determine feasibility and validate the functional / reporting requirements.
- Apply project management standards and concepts; prepare work estimates and delivery timelines.
- Create test cases to cover business processes and system functions; execute tests; analyze and resolve defects.
- Collaborate with business partners on deployment including training, change management, and communications. Support stabilization activities including documentation of issues.
- Manage own work to deliver according to project schedules; be accountable for delivery.
- Education: BS or BA with an emphasis in Information Technology / Supply Chain Management / Business Administration.
- Experience: 2 years working within Research & Development, Manufacturing or Distribution system environments.
- Must have excellent oral and written communication skills to collaborate successfully with a diverse group of individuals.
- Experience working with business stakeholders to understand and document requirements, integrating business knowledge with technical solutions.
- Possess and maintain an eagerness to learn new systems and technologies in an ever-changing software landscape.
- Self-sufficient, organized, with ability to work on a variety of diverse initiatives.
- Advanced skills in SQL and extensive experience analyzing large data sets across systems.
- Experience with modeling, analytical and problem-solving techniques, and ability to apply business knowledge to those techniques to support business decisions.
- Previous experience in data visualization tools such as Tableau or Power BI.
- Prior experience working with data analytics tools such as
- AWS Glue
- AWS DataBrew
- OCI Data Integration, Data Flow, Data Catalog
- OCI Data Science
- Familiarity with Python programming.
- Previous exposure/understanding of process automation software such as UI Path RPA, Document Understanding, AI
- Previous experience working within a complex systems environment that would include any of the following software classes:
- Enterprise Resource Planning system (ERP)
- Product Lifecycle Management system (PLM)
- Laboratory Information Management system (LIMS)
- Warehouse Management system (WMS)
- Transportation Management system (TMS)
- Manufacturing Execution system (MES)
- System Integration
- A working understanding of Research & Development, Process Manufacturing, and Distribution business methodologies.
