Job Description:
We're seeking a Distribution Center Operations Supervisor to oversee daily warehouse activities, drive process improvements, and ensure a safe, efficient, and productive work environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage daily operations, including inventory, customer service, and safety compliance.
- Assign and delegate tasks to warehouse associates, ensuring smooth workflows.
- Analyze reports, develop strategies, and make data-driven decisions to optimize efficiency.
- Oversee employee scheduling and timekeeping to meet business needs.
- Develop and maintain standard operating procedures.
- Interview and evaluate candidates for associate positions.
- Monitor staffing levels and provide ongoing training and development.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; associate or bachelor's degree in logistics, supply chain management, or business preferred.
- 3 years of experience in warehouse/distribution center operations, with at least 1 year in a supervisory or leadership role.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Strong leadership and problem-solving skills.
- Knowledge of warehouse management systems (WMS) and enterprise resource planning (ERP) software.
- Experience with OSHA safety regulations and compliance.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).
- Forklift certification or experience operating warehouse equipment is a plus.
- Familiarity with Lean, Six Sigma, or other continuous improvement methodologies is a plus.
