Job Overview
The International Transportation Specialist is responsible for the cost-effective and timely movement of goods through the Logistics network. This includes Import and Export shipments, as well as ensuring compliance with all transportation laws and regulations.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor and execute the movement of goods, including import and export shipments.
- Investigate and resolve any non-compliance issues with transportation laws and regulations.
- Prepare for and assist with contract negotiations with ocean carriers.
- Analyze carrier performance to ensure we are meeting contract requirements while maintaining competitive freight costs.
Requirements
- Associate degree in Business or related field.
- Three years in a business/office environment with experience in logistics.
- Strong understanding of the international environment.
- Advanced understanding of transportation and logistics.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Effective time management and organizational skills.
