Litigation Paralegal – OnSite, Tampa FL
What Will You Do?
The successful candidate will support the litigation team under the supervision of the Associate General Counsel - Litigation. This position will have responsibilities under a wide array of non-employment disputes, including personal injury, construction, intellectual property, commercial claims, class actions, and consumer protection. In this role, the successful candidate will manage key deadlines, draft and review routine litigation documents, participate in the discovery process, and assist in other projects as required. This role will also have non-litigation obligations in support of our business client.

In this role, the successful candidate will manage key deadlines, draft and review routine litigation documents, participate in the discovery process, and assist in other projects as required. This role will also have non-litigation obligations in support of our business client.
Primary Job Functions
- Coordinate and manage large litigation docket and interactions with outside counsel.
- Interact with business teams to obtain information and documents necessary to respond to discovery.
- Assist with the preparation and filing of routine litigation documents in coordination with internal resources and outside counsel.
- Perform searches utilizing e-discovery software for purposes of internal investigations and discovery obligations.
- Prepare drafts of correspondence and documents, including indemnity tenders, litigation holds, motions, memorandums, and dispute timelines.
- Assist in preparation for depositions, hearings, and small claims trials.
- Extensive interaction with customer care and risk management teams.
- Demonstrate the Company’s Core and Growth Values in the performance of all job functions.
- Associate degree in Paralegal or related field or equivalent work experience, required.
- 5 years’ experience in a Paralegal or related field, required.
- License or Certification: Paralegal Certificate, preferred.
- Knowledge of legal records management.
- Possess excellent spelling, grammar and proofreading skills.
- Maintain the highest level of confidentiality.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent interpersonal skills.
- Effective time management and organizational skills.
- Work independently as well as in a team environment.
- Document management system.
