Summary The Cleanup Supervisor will oversee operations of the Cleanup/Recycling Department and will supervise, direct and develop staff on all three shifts. This position will plan and assign work, implement company policies and procedures, develop own internal policies and procedures for effective operations of the cleanup/recycling department and recommend solutions for improving productivity, quality, cost control and safety. The Cleanup Supervisor will make recommendations to the Services Manager on equipment and daily operation of this area. Responsibilities • Identify opportunities to reduce variable manufacturing overhead costs related to cleanup/recycling throughout the plants. Recommend changes to processes and procedures as appropriate. • Conduct daily environmental inspections and record data regarding wood waste and solid waste materials. Assist with hazardous waste cleanup as needed following all appropriate guidelines and Standard Operating Procedures. Maintain current inventory of cleanup/recycling supplies.
• Coordinate and manage the work of employees by directing members of the team to meet the area's goals. Audit regularly to ensure standard operating procedures are being adhered to. • Manage employee performance and assist employees in making improvements to their performance through coaching, mentoring and administering performance reviews. Recommend, plan and/or implement employee training and skill development activities. Audit, maintain and ensure employee time-keeping and absentee records are accurate.
