What are the responsibilities and job description for the Warehouse Associate position at Ashley Furniture?

Purpose : The Warehouse Associate plays a critical role in maintaining optimal inventory levels and ensuring effective product placements on the sales floor. You will oversee warehouse operations, including product setup, wrapping, and storage for customer pick-up or delivery, all while keeping the warehouse clean and organized.
Key Responsibilities :
- Repeatedly unload and load products from semi-trailers.
- Maintain floor inventory by arranging the showroom and setting up new incoming products.
- Remove sold products from the floor and wrap / store them for customer delivery or assist customers in loading their purchases.
- Communicate with the Visual team to prioritize merchandise arrangements.
- Handle clerical tasks related to warehouse operations, including product receipt documentation.
- Receive, distribute, and install parts for repairing floor samples when necessary.
- Organize and maintain the warehouse, including general housekeeping duties.
- Perform minor repairs and building maintenance tasks as needed.
- Complete the weekly warehouse checklist and work to reduce operating expenses related to warehouse functions.
- Fulfill additional duties and special projects as assigned.
