About Us: Trivett’s Companies is a premier licensee of Ashley, the #1 furniture retailer in the world. As we continue to grow, we are looking for a dynamic, experienced Director of Sales to lead our team of showroom managers and drive sales performance across all locations.
Position Summary: The Director of Sales will be responsible for overseeing the sales operations of 12 retail showrooms, ensuring that all locations meet or exceed sales targets and operational goals. A key component of this role is developing and nurturing a strong leadership team that can drive sustained sales success. This individual will be responsible for building a culture of excellence and performance, empowering showroom managers and their teams to deliver exceptional results. The Director of Sales will work closely with the senior leadership team to implement sales strategies, optimize showroom performance, and create an environment of growth and development.

Key Responsibilities:
- Leadership Development: Actively develop and mentor showroom managers, cultivating a high-performance leadership team across all locations. Foster a culture of growth, accountability, and motivation within the team.
- Strategic Sales Leadership: Develop and execute sales strategies that align with overall business goals. Provide leadership in achieving and exceeding revenue targets across all showrooms while inspiring the team to do the same.
- Sales Performance Management: Monitor and analyze showroom performance metrics (e.g., sales, foot traffic, conversion rates) to identify areas of opportunity and improvement, coaching leaders to implement effective changes.
- Training & Development: Oversee the continuous development of both leadership and sales teams. Ensure showroom managers are equipped with the necessary skills and knowledge to support their teams in achieving sales success.
- Customer Experience: Drive a customer-first culture across all showrooms, ensuring that each location provides a memorable and positive experience that promotes repeat business and referrals.
- Inventory & Merchandising: Collaborate with the merchandising and inventory teams to ensure showrooms are stocked with the right products, properly displayed, and aligned with customer demand and marketing initiatives.
- Budgeting & Forecasting: Develop and manage sales budgets, forecasting future sales performance, and ensuring profitability. Implement cost control measures without compromising on quality or service.
- Collaboration: Work with marketing, operations, and senior leadership teams to create effective promotional campaigns and initiatives aimed at increasing foot traffic and sales.
- Reporting: Provide regular sales performance reports, trends, and insights to the senior leadership team. Recommend corrective actions when necessary to meet business goals.
Qualifications
Qualifications:
- Proven experience (7 years) in sales leadership roles with multi-unit retail environment, preferably in the furniture, home goods, or related industry.
- Strong knowledge of retail operations, sales strategies, and customer service best practices.
- Exceptional leadership skills with the ability to motivate and inspire teams to achieve sales targets.
- Ability to analyze data and metrics to make informed decisions and drive performance improvements.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and senior management.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and the ability to think strategically in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field (preferred).
