(Partial Job Description)
The Porter will play an important role in the daily execution of the store operations from the time the store opens to the closing. The maintenance and cleanliness pertaining to the overall satisfaction of our ASHLEY BRAND. The Porter will be working cohesively in the sales department, service department, and other departments as needed creating a strong guest experience! This Porter position is not limited only to this job description due to the wide scope of daily tasks.
(Partial Job Duties, but not limited too)
This role will work closely with the Lead Designer, & Managers:
- Arrive for shift in proper dress code.
- Receive daily change of duties/responsibilities as described in huddle & conversations.
- Must have clear knowledge around daily store “preparedness” for customers, to include but not limited to Corporate Visitors, Sales Events, and Private Events.
- Move all store furniture and equipment needed for setting up and tearing down store functions.
- Assist in the movement of freight to and from guest vehicles, loading area, and storage areas.
- Refresh and maintain all store areas, interior & exterior.
- Maintain cleanliness, organization, and inventory of all equipment & work areas throughout shift, to include but not limited to dusting, vacuuming, sweeping, and mopping of floors, and proper trash removal.
- Maintain and properly follow all safety precautions when moving or storing equipment.
- Perform all duties in accordance with company SOP's.
- Other duties as assigned, essential or otherwise (including occasional travel)
