The Showroom Assistant Manager is responsible for assisting the Selling Sales Manager in the development and performance of all sales activities and sales staff with a direct focus on the merchandise side of the business. The Showroom Assistant Manager is accountable for assisting the Selling Sales Manager in directing the sales team and exceeding monthly Store goals by coaching and mentoring each Sales Professional to meet their individual performance agreements and achieving maximum profitability and growth in line with Bruegge and Co’s vision and values. Overall, the Showroom Assistant Manager contributes to the high-performance culture by modeling our core values and engaging in sales activities that keep the Ashley brand as the #1 home furnishings market leader in style, selection, quality and value.
- Maintains the appearance and tagging of the Showroom.
- Schedules training for all Sales Professionals to ensure certification and overall performance is met.
- Assign role plays and pitch sheets to the sales staff, to ensure development and performance of the sales process and product knowledge are met.
- Actively manage the sales floor for customer engagement while on the floor.
- Assist the Selling Sales Manager and Gallery Assistant Manager in maintaining visual standards and metrics.
- Resolve guest issues, reselections and ordering errors by partnering with the other managers and departments while focusing on the Company's one call guest resolution.
- Develops Sales Professionals by training and implementing the company’s sales strategies in conjunction with the Selling Sales Manager’s and the Company’s sales programs to ensure attainment of company sales goals and profitability.
- Assist the business in managing the sales performance, sales team members, sales scheduling, sales development, training and coaching for the store location.
- Understand training and development needs, and to provide insight for the improvement of sales and activity performance
- Assists the Selling Sales Manager with conducting monthly performance agreements with each Sales Professional to build more effective communications, to understand training and development needs, and to provide insight for the improvement of sales and activity performance.
- Assist in customer service issues that affect the sales department.
- Provides timely feedback to the Selling Sales Manager or Director of Sales regarding performance of sales goals and employee relations.
- Audit Sales Professionals Storis Sales Checklist for all sales each day.
- Adheres to all company policies, procedures and business ethics codes and ensures that they are communicated and implemented within the team.
- Adheres and effectively executes the company’s standard selling processes, assuring all Sales Professionals are executing the fundamentals of selling as set by the company.
- Assist in conducting sales meetings every weekend with sales staff, following the company meeting guidelines.
- Directs traffic during busy times to ensure all customers are being serviced according to the World Class Selling Basics as set by the company.
- Model the Company’s core values and vision.
- Recruit Sales Professionals.
- Take customer overflow to assist and close sales in addition to being in the Upboard rotation
- Leadership and mentoring of underperforming Sales Professionals and coordinate with the Learning & Development action plans for their improvement.
- Performs nightly checkouts for each associate and monitors the integrity of Trax traffic and opportunity data.
- Key holder in charge of opening and closing the store and opening and closing processes.
- Respond promptly and resolve Customer Issues that occur during your shift, as the Manager on Duty. Including partnering with other areas of the business such as customer service and delivery.
- Participate in additional company training as required which includes off-site travel to other locations.
- Assist the Showroom Assistant Manager with employee relations issues by having conversations and being a witness to disciplinary action for Sales Professionals who are not following Company policy or procedure.
- Maintain the showroom standards as set forth in the Company’s policies and standards.
- Showroom Assistant Managers are expected to maintain their book of business and customer follow-up for their sold and unsold guests.
- Take deposits to the bank as needed, on a scheduled or daily basis.
