IOT Technical Specialist
What Will You Do?
You will design, install, configure and maintain control systems for the purpose of collecting production and predictive diagnostic information on automated machinery while working with maintenance, engineers and IT employees to support the manufacturing process and improve predictive

Responsibilities:
Design, install, debug, troubleshoot and maintain data collection and machine monitoring systems that transmit production information and well as performance and predictive analytics involving machine health.
Collaborate with Automation and IT engineers to implement electromechanical designs to collect IOT Production and Maintenance data on existing
and new equipment.
Select electromechanical equipment, materials, components, or systems to meet functional specifications to collect data and assist with the
interpretation, validation, and devising strategies to use the data for smart factory implementation.
Analyze engineering designs of logic or digital circuitry, motor controls, instrumentation, or data acquisition for implementation into new or
existing automated, servo-mechanical, or other electromechanical systems.
Install and program computer/PLC hardware for IOT installations and incorporate into existing machine designs as well as machines built by
company.
Ability to connect CNC equipment, Robots, PLC’s, and PC based controls for the IOT platform thru various types of hardware and software packages.
Connect data collection solutions to company network via the use of ethernet devices and validate the connection through the use of software; allowing IT to access the data from the production floor.
Create limits/ranges of machine monitoring points in order to create alerts by text or email in order to prevent production downtime and allow for
scheduled repairs.
Remain current with technology advances in IOT field and provide recommendations on the application of new technology to electromechanical
control systems in the factory
Consult with Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) and Maintenance personnel to ensure proper wiring and hardware installation guidelines are
documented and utilized for installations.
Produce electrical, electronic, or mechanical drawings or other related documents or graphics necessary for electromechanical design, using computer-aided design (CAD) or similar software.
Maintain a neat and orderly workplace.
Familiar with PLC’s and able to log onto PLC controlled system from world-wide suppliers.
