Ashley Norton is a leading manufacturer of architectural door hardware. We are looking for a confident and personable individual to fill a B2B Customer Service Representative (CSR) position at our Pompton Plains facility. The CSR ensures delivery of excellent customer service through fast and accurate processing of customer's requests - from simple queries such as inventory, pricing or order status, to more in depth issues such as researching and resolving concerns related to product or order problems.
To be successful in this role, the CSR should have:
- Previous B2B customer service experience with strong communication skills
- Strong attention to detail and good memory
- Ability to recall and apply information learnt from training or previous experience with similar issues
- Ability to analyze and problem and come up with a fair resolution that satisfies the customer

Job Duties
- Build and maintain business relationship with clients and external sales reps by responding to calls and emails
- Answer customer queries, ranging from simple questions such as stock check or order status to technical questions (such as product selection, installation or usage) which require knowledge of our company’s products (training will be provided)
- Research problems through discussion with operations team or by applying product knowledge gained from training or prior experiences with similar issue
- Process customer orders, returns, change requests, etc.
- Other duties as assigned by management.
Job Requirements
- 2-3 years office-based customer service experience in a B2B environment
- Willingness to rapidly learn product details (training will be provided)
- Strong attention to detail and good memory
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to visualize usage of product as described by customers and troubleshoot problems
- Strong computer skills (Windows, Word, Outlook, Excel)
- Willingness to read and interpret technical drawings
- The role requires on-site work at our office location
Education: Relevant College degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
