JOB TITLE: RADIOLOGY TECHNOLOGIST/ LMRT/ NCT/ MEDICAL ASSISTANT
JOB SUMMARY: Assist physician/ mid level practitioner in delivering good quality patient care. Performs a wide variety of functions. Hiring for our McAllen Nolana clinic as well as our Pharr Cage Clinic.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
CLINICAL AREA:
Assist with direct patient care procedures and related task; checks in patients, assist in obtaining patient histories, takes vital signs, prepares charts, and assist with medical examinations. Make a complete chief complain.
- Make laboratory, following our protocol.
- Prepares examination room for patients.
- Performs routine specialized procedures, such as venipuncture, injections, and sterile dressing changes under established protocols.
- Prepares patient for laboratory procedures.
- Collect specimens for laboratory analysis.
- EKG’s.
- Assist physician with minor surgeries.
- Maintain medical equipment through controls.
- Control laboratory refrigerator temperature control.
- Orders medical supplies and keeps an inventory of medical supplies (supervisor).
- Keeps up with daily and monthly log reports.
- Do control for CBC at the start of the day and the end of the day.
- Document all test done in lab-Strep, CBC, Flu, UA, etc.
- Document all shots given in immunization record.
- Document test done in hearing, vision, DPOAE, Algo, Threshold, etc.
- Check super bill for diagnosis, office visit, lab, and procedure if circled by the doctor at the end of the day.
- Check inside of chart for progress notes if labs were ordered & initialed by MA, verify lab in the lab section if the doctor signed all orders.
- Prepare patients for x-rays
- perform diagnostic x-rays and all duties assigned to oversee that the equipment is cared for properly
- Other duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS:
Must possess ability to communicate effectively with people, patient and good organization skills.
REQUIREMENTS:
High school diploma or GED
Current LMRT/NCT Certification
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $12.50 - $16.00 per hour
