Job Summary
The Financial Data Analyst will be primarily responsible for applying accounting and financial knowledge to derive various analysis that will ultimately be used to drive Company strategy. Provide financial support and extensive analytics to senior management.
Key Responsibilities
Support Finance Leadership in the execution of the annual plan, working cross-functionally to collect, understand and review key business needs for the upcoming year
Conduct variance analysis to show management how the budget and/or rolling forecast compares against actual performance
Support senior management with financial analysis, ad-hoc reporting and executive level presentations
Financial modeling
Assist accounting on monthly financial close preparation by reviewing key P&L line items to ensure accuracy
Implement and work with a Business Intelligence Tool and Dashboard reports
Analyzing the trends of key performance indicators including all area of revenue, cost of sales, expenses and capital expenditures
Analyze complex financial information and reports to provide accurate and timely financial recommendations to management for decision making purposes
Essential Qualifications
Strong analytical skills and ability to communicate clearly micro details into a broader summary for different levels of management.
Advanced Excel (pivot tables), PowerPoint and Access abilities
Attention to detail and accuracy with an interest in troubleshooting data discrepancies
Education/Experience
Minimum of 5 years in corporate finance/business analytics role. Retail experience is a plus but not required.
Bachelor’s degree in Science or Finance
Master’s degree in Math, Economics or Business Administration preferred
