Sr. Network Administrator - IT

Job Summary: We are seeking an experienced Senior Network Administrator to join our IT team. This role is crucial for managing and optimizing our network infrastructure, ensuring robust security, and supporting our IT systems. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience with Palo Alto firewalls, DUO MFA, HP switches, Meraki routers and switches, Windows servers, Azure cloud, VMware, and VPN technologies. Key Responsibilities: Network Management: Administer, configure, and maintain network hardware including HP switches, Meraki routers, and firewalls (Palo Alto). Monitor network performance and troubleshoot issues to ensure optimal operation. Security Administration: Implement and manage network security measures using Palo Alto firewalls and DUO MFA for multi-factor authentication. Conduct regular security assessments and updates to safeguard network integrity. Perform PCI quarterly scans Server and Cloud Management: Oversee Windows Server environments, ensuring they are properly configured, maintained, and secured. Manage and support Azure cloud services, including virtual machines and networking. Virtualization: Maintain and manage VMware environments, ensuring high availability, performance, and reliability of virtual machines and infrastructure. VPN Configuration: Set up, administer, and troubleshoot VPN connections to ensure secure remote access for users. Documentation and Reporting: Maintain detailed documentation of network configurations, procedures, and changes. Prepare and present reports on network performance, security incidents, and project progress. Support and Troubleshooting: Provide advanced support for network and server-related issues. Work with other IT staff to resolve complex technical problems and provide mentorship to junior team members. Project Management: Lead or participate in network-related projects, including upgrades, expansions, and implementations. Collaborate with other departments to align network solutions with business needs. On-Call Weekend support: Provide weekend network support for our retail stores.   Qualifications: Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent experience. Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in network administration or a similar role, with a strong background in managing complex network infrastructures. Certifications: Relevant certifications such as Cisco CCNA/CCNP, Palo Alto Networks PCNSE, CompTIA Network , or similar certifications are highly desirable.  Technical Skills: Proficiency with Palo Alto firewalls, DUO MFA, HP switches, and Meraki routers/switches. Solid experience with Windows Server environments and Azure cloud services. Strong knowledge of VMware virtualization technologies. Hands-on experience with VPN configurations and troubleshooting. Familiarity with network monitoring tools and best practices (ManageEngine applications). Soft Skills: Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
