What are the responsibilities and job description for the Bilingual ESL Teacher position at Ashmore Connection?

Job Overview:

Ashmore Connection is currently seeking an excellent Bilingual ESL Teacher for a full-time opportunity in the Lansing area this school year!

Duties:

Teaching English as a second language to students of various ages and proficiency levels.
Developing lesson plans and instructional materials that meet the needs of individual students and groups.
Assessing students' language abilities and tailoring instruction to meet their needs.
Providing feedback to students on their progress and offering suggestions for improvement.
Creating a positive and engaging learning environment that fosters student participation and motivation.
Collaborating with other teachers and staff to develop and implement effective teaching strategies.
Using technology and other resources to enhance instruction and student learning.
Keeping accurate records of student attendance, grades, and progress.
Communicating regularly with parents and guardians regarding student progress and needs.
Staying up-to-date with current trends and developments in ESL teaching and incorporating them into instruction.

Required:

Active Illinois PEL with ESL endorsement
Experience as an ESL Teacher with middle school grade levels
Bilingual in Spanish
