QUALIFICATIONS: An example of acceptable qualifications:
Possession of an Associate’s Degree from an accredited college or university in a related field of study; two (2) or more years of training and/or experience; or any equivalent combination of education, experience, and training that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.
LICENSURE OR CERTIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:
Must possess a valid Ohio driver's license and maintain insurability under the County's vehicle insurance policy.

JOB DESCRIPTION AND WORKER CHARACTERISTICS:
JOB DUTIES in order of importance
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THE POSITION: For purposes of 42 USC 12101:
45% (1)Assists with the operation of the Board of Revision; provides general leadership in the area of the Board of Revision (e.g., assists coworkers with questions and handles customer inquiries); administers Board of Revision complaints and appeals (e.g., performs or assigns the processing of complaints and appeals corresponds with property owners and case parties, conducts field inspections, schedules hearings, etc.);manages cases through appeals (e.g., prepares all documents and filings to BTA or Common Pleas); prepares documents and cases for presentation to the Board; takes minutes as necessary; records hearings.
35% (2) Assists taxpayers, local professionals, and other members of the general public in obtaining information about all real estate programs; files and changes forms as needed (e.g., CAUV, Forestry, Board of Revision, new construction, triennial updates, etc.), processes public record requests; creates necessary correspondence to taxpayers (e.g., refunds, corrections, applications, etc.); maintains real estate division records and answers questions from the public and/or other interested parties.
5%(3) Accepts and helps balance monies for forfeited land sales; prepares filings for the Board of Tax Appeals and Court of Common Pleas.
10%(4) Assists appraisers with data entry, field inspections, and valuation meetings.
(5)Demonstrates regular and predictable attendance.
(6) Maintains required licensure and certifications, if any.
(7) Meets all job safety requirements and all applicable safety standards that pertain to essential functions.
OTHER DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

MINIMUM ACCEPTABLE CHARACTERISTICS: (*indicates developed after employment) Knowledge of: modern computer skills and computer applications, including but not limited to Microsoft Office; filing policies and procedures; department computer systems;* government structure and process; department policies and procedures;* department goals and objectives;* government regulations relating to Board of Revision operations; laws directly related to Board of Revision and forfeited land sales;* geographic layout of jurisdiction;* public relations; communications.
Skill in: computer operation; typing; word processing; adding machine or calculator operation; use of modern office equipment.
