What are the responsibilities and job description for the EKG Technician position at Ashtabula Regional Medical Center?
Performs electrocardiography studies an all patient populations served (neonate to mature adult). Maintains communication between physicians, nursing and other departments as part of the health care delivery team. Serves on interdisciplinary teams as needed. Participates in Quality Assurance/Performance Improvement activities.
- Education, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Graduate of an approved Cardiovascular or Medical Assistant program or on the job training with one year experience. Experience in neonatal and pediatric EKG, Holter monitoring, signal averaging and stress testing preferred.
- Required Length and Type of Experience
- On the job training candidates must have at least one year on the job experience.
- Required Licensure or Certification
- Cardiovascular or Medical Assistance certification preferred. CPR certified required.
