What are the responsibilities and job description for the Graduate Intern - RN Graduate not licensed position at Ashtabula Regional Medical Center?
Works under the direction of a Registered Nurse preceptor to orient to the role of the Registered Nurse. Demonstrates an understanding that all employees are responsible for patient safety. Performs indirect patient care duties that support the efficient functioning of the nursing unit as assigned by the Registered Nurse. This includes the ability to utilize electronic medical record systems to assist in the care of the patient. Provides age appropriate care. Adheres to organizational policy and procedure. Adheres to Patient First philosophy. This role encounters Protected Health Information (PHI) as part of regular responsibilities.
Education, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Graduate of an approved School of Nursing and does not hold a license as an R.N.
Required Length and Type of Experience
- Graduate of an approved School of Nursing but not currently licensed
- Basic computer skills.
- Excellent customer interaction skills.
Required Licensure or Certification
- Current BLS certification (maybe obtained during orientation).
Required Physical and Environmental Demands
- Sitting, standing, ability to utilize keyboard, lifting, stooping, flexible scheduling and adaptable to changing environment. Requires full range of motion, manual and finger dexterity and eye-hand coordination. Requires walking and standing for extensive periods of time.
