Required Length and Type of Experience
Minimum of two (2) years experience in healthcare is required. Wound, Hyperbaric, or critical care experience is preferred.
Required Licensure or Certification
Must be credentialed or licensed in the state where working.Current license or certification is required on one of the following areas: Must be credentialed or licensed in the state where working. Current license or certification is required on one of the following 1. Practical Nurse (LPN) 2. Certified Hyperbaric Technologist (CHT)
Required Physical and Environmental Demands
The work environment is indoors, with adequate heating and cooling. There is a significant amount of equipment for patient care, as well as many supplies stored in the work environment. Must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 lbs. and occasionally lift and/or move patients. Regularly required to stand, walk, use hands to finger, handle or feel, reach with hands and arms, and talk and hear. Occasionally required to sit, climb, or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl, and smell. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision and color vision. GENERAL SUMMARY
The LPN/HBO Chamber Operator provides an integral part in our Patient Care Team by organizing, coordinating and facilitating care of assigned patients. They will implement and contribute to the plan of care as developed by the RN and assist in evaluating patient assessment and discharge plan. Nursing duties include but not limited to wound care, DME orders, authorizations, HBO Chamber Operator, Safety Director with mandatory travel for training. Administer hyperbaric oxygen therapy and diagnostic testing to patients under the supervision of a hyperbaric physician
