What are the responsibilities and job description for the Radiology Technologist position at Ashtabula Regional Medical Center?
GENERAL SUMMARY
Performs Radiology exams and Fluoroscopic procedures on patients of all ages. Maintains patient safety.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATION
Education, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Graduate of an AMA approved school of Radiologic Technology. Knowledge of anatomy and related pathologic processes. Ability to communicate well with Radiologist and Physicians to coordinate proper imaging of patients. Strong communication skills are essential to provide excellent care to patients and families. Ability to function well with minimal or no direct supervision.
Required Length and Type of Experience
Minimum one year experience as a General Radiologic Technologist preferred.
Required Licensure or Certification
Must be a Registered Technologist (ARRT). State of Ohio licensure is required.
Required Physical and Environmental Demands
Requires standing and walking for extended periods of time; must lift and carry items weighting up to 50 pounds. Ability to assist with positioning and transporting patients, i.e., pushing beds, stretchers and wheelchairs. Requires the ability to maneuver equipment and motor coordination to operate equipment.
