What are the responsibilities and job description for the Senior Tooling Technician position at Ashtead Technology?
What you'll be doing:
As Senior Tooling Technician, you will ensure all ROV Tooling and rental equipment is prepared, tested, labelled, identified, stored safely, calibrated, and packaged appropriately before delivery.
Day to day you'll be involved in:
- Inspecting, testing, effective repair, and preparation of current and new ROV Tooling and rental equipment, conducting Fault Reporting for missing or damaged equipment
- Providing input on the design and manufacture of ROV tooling solutions
- Providing effective technical support to customers
- Ensuring all technical manuals, checklists and spare kit lists are up to date and assisting with and/or developing content for documentation and testing procedures.
- Maintain the stock control system used for spares and consumables
- Attend Mobilizations, Site interface testing, and offshore support as needed.
- To provide on-call support when required
What experience you'll bring:
- Demonstrable experience in a technician role undertaking repair, maintenance, integration, and testing of ROV Tooling equipment, preferably in a subsea environment
- You have extensive knowledge of ROV Tooling, Torque Tools, Valve Packs, Cutters, LAOT’S, IHPU’S
- You hold a qualification in Mechanical Engineering/ other technical discipline and/or equivalent industry experience
- You are experienced in electrics/fault finding
- You have a solid understanding of hydraulics/electrics, ability to read schematics including fault findin
- You can read and implement engineering drawings
- You hold and maintain necessary offshore certificates
