Key Responsibilities
- Develop and optimize manufacturing processes for metal fabrication, welding, and machining operations to meet high-tolerance requirements.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including design, quality assurance, and supply chain, to ensure efficient production workflows.
- Lead process development and continuous improvement initiatives to enhance production efficiency, reduce costs, and improve product quality.
- Oversee the selection, implementation, and maintenance of equipment and tooling used in metal fabrication and machining operations.
- Troubleshoot manufacturing challenges, including welding defects, machining inconsistencies, and equipment issues, to maintain production schedules.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards, customer specifications, and regulatory requirements for aerospace and defense manufacturing.
- Perform feasibility studies, risk assessments, and cost analyses to support new product introductions and process changes.
- Train and mentor junior engineers and technicians in advanced manufacturing techniques and best practices.
- Prepare and maintain detailed process documentation, including work instructions, process flows, and control plans.
- Coordinate with suppliers and vendors to source high-quality materials and components for production.
