Quality Engineer Manager
We are seeking a dynamic Quality Engineer to lead and support critical quality assurance processes in a fast-paced, innovative environment.
Metal Fabrication
Oversight of quality processes in military and aerospace heavy metal fabrication includes the application of Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T) principles to machining and inspection processes.
First Article Inspections (FAI) are conducted and documented in compliance with AS9102 requirements. 2D and 3D engineering prints are read and interpreted to ensure product specifications are met.
A key responsibility is the development and implementation of supplier quality improvement initiatives.
Inspection plans are created and maintained to ensure consistent product quality.
Electrical/Electronics
This role ensures quality assurance for military and aerospace electrical and electronics systems.
Wire harnesses and electronic assemblies are inspected and validated for compliance and functionality.
First Article Inspections (FAI) verify conformance to AS9102 standards. The use of advanced tools such as CAD/CATIA and GD&T principles across multiple disciplines is required.
Collaboration with operations, quality inspectors, and suppliers drives quality improvements.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, CAD, and quality management certifications such as AS9100 and NADCAP
- Hands-on role requiring visual acuity and occasional lifting of items over 25 pounds
- Flexible work hours with occasional travel requirements
