What are the responsibilities and job description for the Associate, Derivatives position at Ashurst LLP?
Our team has an immediate opening for a junior Tax Associate in our New York Office. Our Tax Associates provide US tax support on transactions across our US and global offices. Our Tax Associates will work with a small group of US tax lawyers and large group of non-US tax lawyers and transactional lawyers outside the US.
- 1-3 years of transactional tax experience in a US law firm, focusing on financial products, funds, banking, structured products, capital markets, and M&A
- Strong academic background
- Excellent legal and commercial writing skills
- Exceptional attention to detail and analytical skills
- Experience with spreadsheet and financial calculations
- A proactive, positive and energetic approach with a commitment to providing excellent client service, and a desire to build client relationships

In accordance with New York's Pay Transparency Law, the pay range for this position is $225,000-$310,000 per year. The compensation offered to a candidate selected for employment will be dependent upon various factors, including the candidate's geographic market, skills, educational and professional background, experience and overall qualifications.
