Contracts Specialist Job Responsibilities
The Contract Specialist will develop, coordinate, and administer contracts for products and/or services:
- Negotiate, extend, and renegotiate contracts as appropriate
- Serve as a primary point of liaison with contractors in all matters
- Monitor existing contracts for compliance with terms and conditions
- Negotiate, establish, and administer contractual arrangements for various subcontract services
- Evaluate or monitor contractor performance to determine necessity for amendments or extensions of contracts, and compliance to contractual obligations
- Analyze and approve or reject internal and/or contractor requests for deviations from contract specifications and delivery schedules
- Analyze price proposals, financial reports, and other data to determine reasonableness of prices; review and interpret contract provisions to achieve cost efficiencies and reductions where feasible
- Assesses contractor service value and product/service reliability relative to cost; plan, organize, and coordinate acquisition alternatives, as appropriate
- Monitor and evaluate contractor performance against contract specifications and recommend appropriate remedial action as necessary
- Assist with the procurement process and ensure procedural requirements and timelines are met
- Perform miscellaneous duties as assigned

Contract Specialist Job Requirements

- Proficient with Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams*
- 2 years of experience negotiating contracts*
- Proficient in development and adherence to procurement procedures and plans*
- Multi-task and provide support to multiple internal clients daily
- Experience in solar, power generation or construction, utility scale projects a plus
- 2 years of experience in Procurement
- Able to travel as needed*
- Have a driver's license
